We really tried, but ever since Martin left us almost two years ago, we never found the new format we were all hoping for. Members left along the way, and as of May 2009, the remaining musicians decided that it was no use anymore. Henceforth, this website will no longer be updated. It will remain online, however, as an archive and ongoing tribute to a very special band.

As of today, you can find a jukebox on our download page, containing all LP tracks that have been published on the web. Now it is possible to not just download our music, but to listen to it uninterrupted while you are surfing the web. As a special feature, Firefox users can make a bookmark for the player, so that you can open it in the sidebar by clicking the link in your bookmarks list. Wanna see? The jukebox can be found here.

Yet another download added

Last sunday, only 3 members of LP were present at the rehearsal. Harry had a gig with Mimoza and Henk had to do some urgent renovation to his house. The result was a direct-to-2-track recording of a pure Synth and Bass improvisation with a strange and very alternating atmosphere. It is a huge download, because a 56+ minutes Suite was made from the rough material. Listen (and download) here. Enjoy!

Listening Principles website in English

Today, we publish the first page of what is to become a concise English version of our website. So far, only the index page is ready. The other pages will follow slowly but surely. The navigation buttons on the left hand side only link to the Dutch pages for now, but watch this space for updates. For those who can't read Dutch: the Download section is pretty easy to figure out without any multi-linguistic talents. Feel free to listen to as much free downloads as you like! And there are also some nice pictures that speak more or less for themselves. Check them out, see us in action...

Listening Principles studio recordings cancelled

Yesterday, after an long and emotional meeting, LP have decided to cancel the recordings for their 3rd album. It was after a very long talk that the conclusion emerged that there was no other option. This is what happens to bands that have been together for a long time. Individual members develop the feeling that it is time for something completely different. Our poet, Martin Beversluis, has left the band, effective immediately, because he wants more time to dedicate himself to solo projects he was already working on. The other members have decided to go on a 3-month break. On September 2, 2007 we will re-group in our trusted rehearsal room, to make a fresh start. From that moment on, this site will also be updated on a more regular basis.
